WHO WALKS BESIDE YOU?
π ICE BREAKER
Welcome back!
Briefly share how your holiday was with the group.
π£ Then talk about the following:
-If you could choose any celebrity to hang out with you for a week, who would it be and why?
–What do you and your friends talk about the most β sports, school, games, TikTok, relationships, problems, or something else?
-If Jesus unexpectedly joins your circle of friends today, what do you think you will talk about?

π’ WHAT DO YOU SAY?
Think about your circle of friends, WhatsApp groups, language use and things you do together.
-Is there anything you know Jesus wonβt want to be a part of?
-Would Jesus feel welcome in your group?
π£ SOUL FOOD
Every day, we walk beside other people. Our friends, classmates, teammates, and even people we only hang out with online – they influence how we think, speak, and act.
In Luke 24, two Emmaus goers walk together as they talk about everything that has happened. Without recognizing Him, Jesus approaches and walks with them. What a picture of our own lives!
Jesus also wants to walk with us β at school, on the sports field, in our circle of friends, and when we’re alone. But welcoming Jesus means making room for Him too. We need to examine our words, conversations, friendships, and even our busy schedules.
Do we talk about things that honor Him? Do we listen when He speaks to us through His Word? Do we choose friends who bring us closer to God?
π€ TEAM EFFORT
“If Jesus were walking beside us today, who do you think He would notice that we overlook?”
Each one identifies a person at school who is easily left alone / overlooked.
Important: Don’t treat that person as a “project”, the goal is genuine friendship and inclusion.
During the week, you should intentionally:
-hang out with the person;
-include him/her in a conversation;
-ask how it goes;
-do an activity together.
β£ REMEMBER
The people we spend our time with, what we talk about and what we choose β influence us.
Jesus wants to be a part of this. We can intentionally welcome Him by choosing good friends.
Who do YOU choose to walk beside to you?
π LET US PRAY
Lord Jesus, thank you for walking with us.
Help us to choose good friends, to speak positively, to live less hectically and to choose YOU every day to walk beside us.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
